Demi Lovato's current rehab stint has been the source of much speculation, much of it nasty—such as the rumor that emerged today that the Sonny With a Chance star had been abusing alcohol and cocaine in the period prior to being admitted to a treatment facility.
But such scuttlebutt is untrue—at least according to Lovato's rep, who flatly denied such claims to TMZ on Wednesday.
"Demi Lovato is not in treatment for drug or alcohol addiction. As we have said since she entered treatment last week, Demi decided to seek help for emotional and physical issues she has battled throughout her life."
